\nThe focus of the third and final webinar in the series will be on
funding and policy for implementing sustainable\, long-term solutions. We
will be discussing the Opioid Settlement Funds and policies that expand s
ubstance use services in Massachusetts.
While there a re several criteria for how the Federal government determines grant recipi ents\, the creation of good jobs through projects with commitments to stro ng labor standards and practices is key. Registered apprenticeships\, join t labor-management training programs\, certified payroll and the support o f local labor organizations can help secure federal infrastructure funding for your projects\, all while creating good jobs in your community.
\nBy all indications\, apprenticeship will need to greatly expand to meet the demands of Massachusetts’ booming cons truction industry— the federal government has created incentives in their infrastructure funding to encourage that growth.
