Inner Core
The Inner Core Committee consists of twenty cities and towns within the metropolitan Boston area. Because they are many of the most urban and populous within the MAPC planning area, Inner Core communities deal with a host of unique challenges. The Inner Core Committee's priorities for FY 09 are found it its Work Plan.

Given the complexity of issues facing these communities, the Inner Core Committee emerged as a forum through which issues of mutual concern could be explored and joint and cooperative action fostered. Committee membership is granted to the Executive Director of MAPC, as well as a representative from the Boston Redevelopment Authority and each of the following communities:

Arlington

Malden Somerville

Belmont

Medford Waltham

Boston

Melrose Watertown

Brookline

Milton Winthrop

Cambridge

Newton

Chelsea

Quincy

Everett

Revere

Lynn

Saugus

Meetings are held monthly at MAPC on the first Wednesday of the month from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interested parties are welcome to attend meetings. Questions should be directed to Jenny Raitt (617) 451-2770 ext. 2056 or via e-mail at jraitt@mapc.org.
