MetroWest

Since 1985 the MetroWest Growth Management Committee (MWGMC) has facilitated inter-local collaborative planning and problem solving to enhance the quality of life and economic competitiveness of the region. MWGMC is a governance and planning cluster--a learning network where shared knowledge, skills, and experience help speed the process of innovation for the whole group. MAPC's MetroWest subregion includes nine communities:

Ashland

Southborough

Framingham

Wayland

Holliston

Wellesley

Marlborough

Weston

Natick

We accomplish our mission by implementing the following core programs and services:

  • Organizing a monthly Leadership Forum and producing
    a Community Exchange newsletter for MetroWest public officials;

  • Conducting Regional Impact Reviews

  • Organizing a monthly Planners Roundtable for professional planners and local planning policymakers;
  • Providing information services and technical assistance
    to local officials; and

  • Facilitating public policy taskforces.

Questions about MWGMC should be directed to Donna Jacobs, MetroWest Growth Management Committee Director, at (508) 907-6740 or via e-mail at djacobs@mapc.org
