SWAP
The Southwest Area Planning Committee (SWAP) is comprised of up to twenty members representing ten communities southwest of Boston. The purpose of SWAP is to foster joint and cooperative action concerning water resources, housing, solid waste, land use, transportation, economic development, historic preservation, and the environment. By encouraging informed and active cooperation among neighboring communities, a harmonious balance of the needs of government, residents, businesses, and commuters can be achieved.

SWAP's ten member communities are:
Bellingham Milford
Dover Millis
Franklin Norfolk
Hopkinton Sherborn
Medway Wrentham

The SWAP region is located southwest of Boston between Interstates 495 and 95 and is bisected by Route 109. The region's proximity to these major transportation corridors has led to increasing development pressure and waxing demands on environmental resources.
