NSPC’s March meeting has been moved to March 19th due to snow. We will hear from Chris Kluchman about the State’s Housing Choice Initiative.
We will be joined by Francis Goyes, MAPC’s Regional Housing and Land Use Planner, to hear about her “Living Little” work that takes a look at smaller housing typologies and how they may be translated into the NSPC region. We’ll also be joined by Sharon Ron, MAPC’s Public Health Research Analyst to discuss what it means to plan for healthy living and healthy housing.
The goal is to discuss ways to better improve information sharing to address the opioid crisis.

After regular community updates, NSPC members will hear from Katharine Lacy at the Massachusetts Housing Partnership and Maritza Crossen at the Citizens’ Housing & Planning Association about monitoring affordable units and potential TA opportunities around affordable housing. We will also be joined by Laurie Stanton from the Metro North Regional Housing Services Office that monitors affordable units and provides support for the towns of Reading, North Reading, Wilmington and Saugus.
We’ll hear from experts on retrofitting suburbia, get a first look at MAPC’s interactive report and website, and discuss opportunities for you to transform suburban space to meet new needs.
