MAPC Director of Clean Energy, Cammy Peterson, will present and answer questions about clean energy programs NSPC communities can get involved with. We will also hear about CTPS’s technical assistance programs, review our annual work plan, and brainstorm ideas for meeting topics for the current fiscal year.
MAPC Senior Transportation Planner, David Loutzenheiser, will discuss trail planning across municipal boundaries and initial plans for expanding the trail along the former Salem and Lowell Railroad. The meeting will conclude with a walking tour of the trail through Northern Lynnfield.
The December NSPC meeting will focus on Master Planning efforts and best practices in community engagement and advisory committee creation.
Join MAPC for our program webinar, Electrify Your Community: Charging Station Purchasing 101, on Thursday, February 15, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Tune in to get up to speed on how to install electric vehicle charging stations to power vehicles in your fleet and community. Webinar attendees will learn more about:
- The basics of selecting a charging station, or stations, to meet your needs and reduce costs where possible;
- The benefits of buying in bulk with other communities through the Green Mobility Group Purchasing Program; and
- Available funding and steps to take to include charging stations, and more, in your Green Communities Competitive Grant application or municipal budget.
NSPC will continue to discuss project ideas and will be joined by staff from CTPS to discuss the TIP and Long Range Transportation Plan.
Join the North Suburban Planning Council on Thursday, April 11th to talk about MassDOT’s RailVision plan.
After regular community updates the group will hear from Alexandra Markiewicz from MassDOT Planning and have a discussion building upon the group’s Suburban Mobility Study from 2017.
