Avery holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, with a major in Anthropology and a minor in statistics, and is currently enrolled in a graduate-level certificate program in GIS through the University of West Florida. Her past work experience includes work as a field technician in Lucca, Italy, where she used GIS to record and analyze dig finds, and work as an assistant manager at the Skinny Pancake at the Burlington International Airport. Avery will be devoting most of her time at MAPC to the delineation of block groups and tracts for the 2020 Census.
