Elise joined the Metropolitan Area Planning Council in 2018 as a Digital Communications Specialist. As part of the communications team, Elise helps manage the website and Planning101 blog, coordinates social media pages, and assists with graphic design, email marketing, press, and storytelling. She brings strong writing and broad communications skills to help craft overarching communications strategies and assist with smaller communications tasks.

Prior to joining MAPC full-time, Elise worked for MAPC as a communications intern in 2017. She held internships at several news and media companies, including stints as an editorial assistant and breaking news reporter for the Boston Globe and editorial intern for BostInno. At various times she was the managing editor, social media editor, and news editor of Northeastern University’s independent student newspaper The Huntington News, writing, editing, designing, and helping to introduce video and grow social media pages. In 2016, she worked at an online women’s magazine in Cape Town, South Africa, producing a podcast on local entrepreneurs.

Elise graduated from Northeastern University in December 2017 with a degree in journalism and minor in international affairs.
