Kimberly joined MAPC’s Digital Services as a Web Developer in July of 2021. As a member of a cross-disciplinary department, she collaborates with GIS specialists, data analysts, and visual designers to make planning research and data accessible, interactive, and engaging. From data visualizations to digital experiences, she leverages her programming knowledge and attention to detail to help bring her team’s visions to life.
Prior to joining MAPC, Kimberly has led workshop programming for the NYC Asian American Student Conference, worked as a multimedia artist and glass fabricator in New York and Rhode Island, taught glassblowing to high school students, and helped grad students develop effective communication and language skills. In March of 2020, in the onset of lockdowns, she took her first coding class and was enamored with the creative potential of the medium, completing her M.F.A. thesis in the form of a website. She has since freelanced as a web designer and developer, bringing collaborative digital solutions to happy clients.
Kimberly holds a B.A. in Diaspora Studies with a minor in Studio Art from New York University and received her M.F.A in Glass from the Rhode Island School of Design.
