Biography:

Rosemary Volinski joined MAPC’s Municipal Collaboration team in August 2021. As a Program Specialist, she assists with managing emergency preparedness grants, specifically for the Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council (NERAC). Rosemary, in collaboration with others on our team, develop and implement projects that bolster the security of communities. In addition to her role with NERAC, Rosemary serves as our lead program manager for the Metro Mayors Community Safety Initiative. This program is funded by the Shannon Grant and brings together regional law enforcement and prevention partners to combat youth violence and gang involvement through law enforcement, job training, and after-school programs.

Before joining MAPC, Rosemary was a Research Assistant with the Shannon Grant Program, working as a member of the Shannon Grant Statewide Research Team. In this role she assisted Northeastern University’s Center on Crime and Community Resilience as well as the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security with research, policy briefs, and their website.

Rosemary earned a bachelor’s degree in National Security Studies from the University of New Haven and a master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Northeastern University.
