Biography:
Samikshya is a Clean Energy and Climate Planning Intern at MAPC. In this role, she supports developing the regional climate action plan and contributes to other projects relating to building codes and workforce development.
Previously, Samikshya worked with the South-Central Regional Council of Governments in Connecticut, where she assisted in drafting their regional climate action plan. She also worked as a fellow at the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts (BECMA). At BECMA, she provided research and administrative support to the organization’s Policy Team. She provided research and writing support for their policy and advocacy initiatives advancing racial equity, environmental justice, and economic development.
Samikshya is currently a Masters of Regional Planning candidate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, focusing her degree on climate planning and economic development. She also has a BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Smith College.
Her areas of interest are clean energy, climate action planning, climate policy, and economic development.
