Senior Homeland Security Coordinator, MCPPO
Tim Moore has served in MAPC’s Homeland Security Department since June of 2011. He is currently the Program Manager for the Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council (NERAC). Mr. Moore currently works on homeland security projects including trainings, exercises, communications interoperability, sheltering, and general public safety/emergency preparedness. Since joining MAPC, he has worked with the NERAC Council on developing and implementing their FFY2011-FFY2014 Regional Homeland Security Plans. In this role, he plans and facilitates the meetings of the NERAC Council and its five subcommittees, and oversees the implementation of their vision.
Prior to joining MAPC, Mr. Moore gained experience in hospital emergency preparedness, with a focus on hospital response to community hazardous materials events, including triage and decontamination of victims, and training of responders. He also spent time interning at an insurance company, researching best practices for insured organizations to avoid insurance claims.
Mr. Moore earned a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 2010. He has also completed basic Incident Command System (ICS) training and Level C Hazmat Training for Healthcare Providers. Mr. Moore has earned a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) designation.
