The findings of this research provide a clear view into the scale of demand for affordable housing and a detailed accounting of the kinds of units that are most needed to fill the gap–now and into the future. DESCRIPTION:Please join the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC)\, Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC)\, and the Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) for guidance on regulating Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in accordance with Section 3 of the Zoning Act. The new Strategic Plan being introduced at the Winter Council Meeting lays out MAPC’s focused priorities for the next five years (2025 – 2030). Adoption of the Strategic Plan by MAPC’s Council is a requirement. \nMayor Theodore Mann Regional Leadership Award\nThe award is given annually by MAPC in memory of Newton’s longest-serving mayor\, Theodore “Teddy” Mann\, and recognizes a municipal leader from Greater Boston whose commitment to regional collaboration best exemplifies Mann’s legacy.
