Biography:
Najee Nunnally joined MAPC as a Community Engagement Specialist in March 2022. Najee has a deep commitment to community building and equitable engagement.
Before joining MAPC, Najee worked served as the Diversity & Equity Project Coordinator for the City of Framingham’s Public Schools (FPS). Prior to the role, he was also the Executive Assistant for the Office of Equity, Diversity and Community Engagement. During his time with the Office of Equity he developed with the Assistant Superintendent, a district-wide equity plan, coordinated and oversaw ongoing (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Anti-Racist) professional development, strategize and develop community engagement initiatives and activities, along with creating and facilitate restorative conversations, consultations, and mediations amongst staff and students. Additionally, he coordinated collaborations with community partners and municipal departments regarding family engagement, community events, donations, and equity related matters. He also provide on-site support for schools in crisis situations. Prior to working for FPS, he was a Pool Manager for the Department of Recreation & Conservation (DCR).
Mr. Nunnally earned his undergraduate degree from Framingham State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minor in Communications. He is set to graduate in May 2022 from Boston University with a Master’s degree in City Planning.
