Housing Production Plan identifies housing needs & demand, establishes goals for future housing development.
Join the Town of Arlington, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), and planning consultant JM Goldson for a public forum on Thursday, April 7, at 6:45 pm in the main meeting room of the Senior Center at 20 Academy Street/27 Maple Street in Arlington.
This is the second of two public meetings that will inform Arlington’s Housing Production Plan, which will guide housing development and help the town work towards the State-mandated affordable housing target.
At the initial public meeting, MAPC shared information on current housing needs and demand. Then, JM Goldson led attendees through an exercise to build on the 2015 Master Plan housing recommendations and establish housing goals for the next 5 years.
The town now seeks the public’s input to refine proposed goals and the strategies to achieve them. This April forum will also give the public the opportunity to discuss potential sites for new housing.
