The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is the regional planning agency for the people who live and work in the Greater Boston region.
The Greater Boston region is made up of 22 cities and 79 towns, and each city and town fall under one of eight subregions.
The 101 cities and towns include a diverse mix of coastal communities, older industrial centers, rural towns, and urban neighborhoods.
MAPC has proudly been serving the Greater Boston region since MAPC was established in 1963.
