Malden's Open Space and Recreation Plan + Art 

The City of Malden partnered with MAPC to update its Open Space and Recreation Plan, weaving arts and culture into the vision for the future of parks, open spaces, recreation, and cultural resources. 

Community conversations with Malden residents, community leaders, and stakeholders helped shape recommendations and implementation strategies. The plan highlights community values and sets a vision for equitable access to open space, recreation, and cultural resources throughout the city.

Project Funding

This project was funded by the City of Malden with additional support from a Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Planning Grant. Other funding sources included arts and cultural planning resources from the Barr Foundation.
