Biography:

Dan Witts has been with the HMCC since 2018. As the Planning and Operations Coordinator, Dan is responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordinating of the HMCC. Dan works to develop regional policies and procedures for the 48 communities and five core disciplines of the HMCC and works collaboratively to strengthen and promote emergency preparedness and response capabilities within the region. Dan also provides 24/7 support to HMCC stakeholders during local disasters and disease outbreaks. He previously worked with the City of Lowell, Health and Human Services Department- Substance Abuse and Prevention Division as a Program Coordinator. Prior to working for Lowell, Dan worked with The New England Consortium conducting Occupational Health and Safety trainings and providing instruction during HAZWOPER trainings. Dan holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Massachusetts Lowell in Public Health/Health Promotion.
