Biography:
Jenifer Wallitsch joined MAPC in 2023 and is an Emergency Preparedness Specialist. As part of the Municipal Collaboration Team, she works to implement projects involving public safety, disaster preparedness, and public health. She also provides coordination services for the Massachusetts Region 3D Public Health Coalition and assists in the design and delivery of response drills and exercises for public and private sector stakeholders.
Before joining MAPC, Jenifer interned with the Preparedness Branch for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in their Region 1 Office. There she worked closely with the Tribal Nation States and focused on developing Individual and Community preparedness programs for the Youth Preparedness Council, FEMA Region 1 staff, and external partners. Jenifer has also spent time with the San Francisco Federal Executive Board through a placement with the State Department where she worked on projects that focused on environmental crisis communications, mainly supporting earthquake and wildfire preparedness activities.
Jenifer earned a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Criminal Justice from Saint Anselm College and a Master’s degree in International Organizations and Crisis Management from Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany.
