Biography:
Jeremy Koo joined MAPC in 2023 as the Assistant Director of the Clean Energy Department. In this role he helps lead the team’s support to municipalities on developing and implementing clean energy and climate plans, policies, and programs. He oversees projects and guides team strategy, operations, and policy engagement. He currently serves on the Grid Modernization Advisory Council representing the interests of municipal governments.
Prior to joining MAPC, Mr. Koo worked at Cadmus (formerly Meister Consultants Group), where he led and managed projects for utilities and state and local governments on advancing clean energy, beneficial building electrification, and decarbonization. In that role, he delivered technical assistance, strategic planning, and market analyses to over 50 municipal governments and regional planning agencies to support clean energy program, policy, and project implementation. In particular, he worked closely with Massachusetts towns and communities to help implement MassCEC’s HeatSmart Mass and Solarize Mass Plus programs. Prior to working in consulting, he worked at the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association supporting programming to advance sustainability in the built environment.
Mr. Koo is a graduate of Amherst College where he studied environmental studies and music.
