Biography:
Kelsi Champley joined MAPC’s Municipal Collaboration team in January 2019. As a Procurement and Contract Specialist I, she assists the Greater Boston Police Council (GBPC), Fire Chief’s Association of Massachusetts (FCAM), the South Shore and MetroWest Regional Consortiums, and Boston other Massachusetts towns in the purchasing of a wide range of light to heavy duty vehicles, equipment, fire and emergency safety vehicles, public works services, and equipment, in addition to a wide range of other municipal items and services. Kelsi also works on researching, creating, and implementing bids and proposals for the aforementioned vehicles, items, and services.
Before coming to MAPC, Kelsi worked in a variety of fields, including as an English and math tutor and teacher to a wide range of ages. Kelsi was an administrative assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the Academic Programs and Services offices, where she worked closely with Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and other STEM youth education initiatives that worked with K-12 public schools to add STEM curriculum to their classrooms. She also worked as a writer for the Deep Silver Volition video game company in 2015.
Kelsi earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s degree in English literature and language from Boston College.
