Biography:
Marjorie Weinberger has worked at MAPC since June 2017 and served as the agency’s General Counsel since December 2019. Previously, she served as Procurement Manager/Senior Counsel, a position in which she worked closely with the Director of Municipal Collaboration to manage collaborative procurement contracts currently in place while developing new procurement opportunities for MAPC.
Prior to joining MAPC, Ms. Weinberger served as the Senior Counsel for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the Registry of Motor Vehicles for 19 years. She served as the Counsel responsible for the procurement of Goods and Services. Her legal services included the drafting and review of Requests for Responses and the development of the technical specifications and scoring requirements.
Additionally, Ms. Weinberger was responsible for the development of policies and procedures relating to the protection of personal information held within the database of the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles; investigating and resolving allegations of misuse of personal information, and drafting all required notifications; drafting and negotiation of all agreements concerning access to personal information; and developing and conducting on-going training of personnel regarding the handling and protection of personal information.
Majorie has a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School. She earned a Master’s Degree from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s from Drew University. Ms. Weinberger has also been a member of the Department of Homeland Security, Data Privacy and Integrity Advisor Committee since 2012.
