Biography:

Nathan Powell joined MAPC in 2025 and is a Municipal Services Specialist. In this role, Nathan works primarily in conjunction with the Municipal Services team within the broader Municipal Collaboration team on our Apartment Wi-Fi Program, which seeks to provide free-of-charge Wi-Fi service to residents of affordable/public housing developments across the Commonwealth. Outside of this work, Nathan and the Municipal Services team also collaborate with the various municipalities across MAPC’s service area to assist in the development of planning documents, including, but not limited to, comprehensive and master plans.

Before joining MAPC, Nathan worked in higher education administration, primarily with the Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism at MIT. He has also been a freelance consultant with online education company, HELM Life, helping them reach their goals of spreading awareness about various DEI protocols and sociocultural-specific education to various private company ERGs and broader staffs as a means of team building.

Nathan is a graduate of Cornell University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies, as well as, a graduate of Concordia University, where he earned his Master of Science in Geography, Urban, and Environmental Studies.
