Public Health Research Analyst
Sharon Ron joined MAPC in July 2017 as a Public Health Research Analyst in the Public Health Division. Ms. Ron assists MAPC with health and transportation projects, health impact assessments, and efforts to integrate health into open space and housing plans, among other projects.
Ms. Ron comes to MAPC from VHB, a civil engineering firm, where she was supporting their Healthy Community Design initiative. Ms. Ron also worked as a Data Analyst for the City of Cambridge where she collaborated closely with departments within the Community Development Department to develop publications, presentations, and reports on demographic and socio-economic trends within the city. Prior to her graduate degree program, Ms. Ron was a case manager for an organization providing in-home elder care.
She received her Master’s in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and holds a duel B.A. in Art and Comparative Literature from Williams College
