Biography:

Ursula joined the MAPC Public Health team in 2022 as a public health social worker. She collaborates with residents, municipal staff, and community stakeholders to identify barriers and recreate public systems and services in ways that are equitably accessible and support the health, resilience, and opportunities of residents to thrive. Ursula also leads a satellite public health outreach team that serves the local public health departments of Cambridge, Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop, prioritizing infectious disease control through resident education and linkage to resources and services.

Before joining MAPC, Ursula worked in various social service settings planning and implementing programs, supervising teams, and directly serving priority populations with co-occurring disorders and historically marginalized identities.

Ursula earned a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in the City of New York and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Smith College.
