METROWEST TOWNS TO LAUNCH JOINT TRAILS PROJECT
Officials will gather Thursday to kick off MetroWest LandLine project in Ashland State Park
ASHLAND – Eight MetroWest municipalities are together taking the first steps to close a number of priority trail gaps in MetroWest, and will officially kick off the project on Thursday, October 26, 2017, 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., in Ashland State Park, 156 West Union Street Ashland, MA 01721. The event is an opportunity for local officials and trail enthusiasts to learn more about the project, the MetroWest LandLine.
The MetroWest LandLine is a project of the municipalities of Ashland, Framingham, Holliston, Natick, Southborough, Wayland, Wellesley, and Weston, and is being done through the MetroWest Regional Collaborative (MWRC). MWRC is the local sub-organization of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council. The kickoff will be enhanced by the beauty of the natural setting, and by a creative placemaking installation coordinated by MAPC Artist-in-Residence Caroline Lewenberg.
