Congratulations to MAPC's Christian Spanring!

Congratulations to Christian Spanring, MAPC’s GIS Developer, who was recently awarded with the Somerville Community Corporation’s Norris Weston Award!

SCC honored Christian for all of the amazing work he has done on the inTeractive Somerville website.  inTeractive Somerville is a website developed by former MAPC intern Michael Messina – it allows users to give their input on the development of of the new transit corridor of  in Medford and Somerville, as the Green Line Extension along the Mystic Valley Parkway moves forward.

The Norris Weston award is named after a community leader from the Franklin Street neighborhood in East Somerville. SCC has designated this award for government and other funders, or professional partners, who go the extra mile in them meet their mission of offering services that help Somerville residents increase civic participation.

The award was presented to Christian at their Annual Meeting February 9th, 6-8:30pm at the Holiday Inn in Somerville.  If you see him at one of our upcoming events, say congrats!
