MAPC issues statement on proposal to weaken vehicle emissions, fuel efficiency standards
The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) today issued a statement in reaction to the proposed rule from the Trump Administration that would imperil the current greenhouse gas emission standards for model year 2021-2026 vehicles, and put in place weakened emission and fuel efficiency standards at the expense of our health, our environment, and our economy.
Metropolitan Mayors Coalition Issues Statement on Shannon Grant Funding in FY19 Budget
On Wednesday, the Legislature passed its FY19 state budget, which included $8 million for the Shannon Community Safety Initiative known as the Shannon Grant. This is a $2 million increase from last year’s funding level and is the highest amount for the program since FY15.
