MAPC Director of Clean Energy, Cammy Peterson, will present and answer questions about clean energy programs NSPC communities can get involved with. We will also hear about CTPS’s technical assistance programs, review our annual work plan, and brainstorm ideas for meeting topics for the current fiscal year.

Join us on Thursday, September 21st at 1:00pm in Hingham Town Hall. We will be joined by Peter Forman, President & CEO of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, to discuss South Shore 2030: a comprehensive economic and community development plan for the South Shore region. Peter will present the findings and critical strategies that have come out of South Shore 2030 and Ralph Willmer, Principal Planner at MAPC, will discuss MAPC’s role in the process. Join Woburn officials and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) for an interactive public forum on Monday, Feb. 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Woburn Memorial High School cafeteria (88 Montvale Ave., Woburn) to learn more about an upcoming project to plan for a new neighborhood focused on “equitable transit-oriented development,” or eTOD.
The Arlington Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) is working with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) on a neighborhood action plan for Arlington Heights and invite you to a community forum on May 23rd beginning at 7 p.m. at the Dallin Elementary School, 185 Florence Ave.. During the forum, representatives from DPCD and MAPC will present options for spurring neighborhood revitalization including an analysis of existing barriers to investment and potential solutions for those problems. Community participation in this meeting is key at this interactive forum.
