Meeting at Paul Revere Park (just north of the locks) in Charlestown at 5:30pm
The Grand Junction, Community Path, Mystic River, Charlestown greenways, and Border to Boston Trails all end in this general area, but they currently do not converge. This bike tour will explore the urban connectivity puzzle and opportunities between all of these trails

This bike ride highlights the new, improved, and proposed Jamaica Pond region parkways and trails. The ride will include the new Casey Arborway project, Franklin Park, Forest Hills Cemetery, and the Roslindale Gateway Path. Representatives from the City of Boston, MassDOT, and DCR will be providing updates on the ride.
Ride departs at 5:30pm from the Jamaica Pond Boat House.

Meeting at West Concord commuter rail station at 3pm
The Minuteman, Bruce Freeman, and Assabet Trails are close to being built out in this area. They come close together but do not connect. This ride will scope out potential routes of future trails that can connect these. The ride will be a loop taking in a newly completed section of the Bruce Freeman and well as Assabet Rail Trails. There is about a mile of wide packed dirt trail, so 32mm+ tires recommended.

Join us for the grand finale in our summer series! This walking tour will start in Porter Sq and end at Assembly Row. In between we will see and talk about neighborways, innovative bicycle treatments, status of the Green Line Extension, and Assembly Row development. After the walk, join us for dinner and drinks at Assembly Row.

NSPC will continue to discuss project ideas and will be joined by staff from CTPS to discuss the TIP and Long Range Transportation Plan.
Join the North Suburban Planning Council on Thursday, April 11th to talk about MassDOT’s RailVision plan.
After regular community updates the group will hear from Alexandra Markiewicz from MassDOT Planning and have a discussion building upon the group’s Suburban Mobility Study from 2017.
In 2020, cities and towns throughout Greater Boston re-imagined their public spaces, converting streets and sidewalks into spaces that would promote active transportation, social distancing, outdoor dining, multimodal transit, and safe exercise.
Now, in partnership with MassDOT and the Solomon Foundation, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council is inviting cities and towns to look back at their recently-completed shared streets projects.
Please join us next Tuesday from 4 to 5 p.m. for a panel discussion and Q&A on Shared Streets. Municipal representatives will reflect on the complex projects they undertook, share lessons learned, and look forward to what’s next.

After remarks from the Governor and Lt. Governor, we’ll welcome to the stage Secretaries Tesler, Acosta, Kennealy and Card to talk about the potential available funding in each of their fields, and how communities can work with the Commonwealth to make the most of this funding, followed by a brief audience Q&A.
Afternoon workshops led by senior administration officials and local leaders from across the Commonwealth provide the chance, among other things, to dive deeper into these funding opportunities, think through the challenges facing your community, and hear from other communities looking to work through those same challenges.
Finally, you’ll hear from former Baker Chief of Staff and Harvard Taubman Center Senior Fellow Steve Kadish about some of the most promising strategies for working with community members and stakeholders to make the local change that our communities need.
