Help Envision Future Housing for Winchester

“Housing Production Plan” will identify housing need and shape town’s housing goals for the future

For Immediate Release: Friday, February 16, 2018

WINCHESTER – Do you live in Winchester? Are you interested in helping to shape a vision for housing in your community?

Join the Town of Winchester and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) for a forum on Wednesday, March 7, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Winchester High School auditorium.

Winchester is working with MAPC to take a proactive approach to planning for the future of the community by creating a Housing Production Plan (HPP). Join MAPC and Winchester officials for this first public forum, an interactive event focused on understanding the town’s current demographics and existing housing supply, and housing need and demand now and in the future.

The public’s input is needed to create housing priorities and goals for the next five years, and to talk about the best locations for housing around town. The evening will begin with a presentation and continue with an open house where information will be shared via posters and feedback requested.
