Help set housing goals for Lynn!
Are you interested in helping the City of Lynn develop a community-driven plan to promote housing opportunity for all? The City, with the support of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), is launching “Housing Lynn: A plan for inclusive growth.” Housing Lynn will assess unmet housing need in Lynn, establish housing goals, and recommend strategies to meet them.

This first Housing Lynn forum is focused on understanding housing needs and setting priorities. Our discussion will help ensure Housing Lynn serves a broad range of Lynners, including renters and homeowners, families and those living alone, and folks of different ages, backgrounds, and income levels. Your voice is needed to ensure the plan represents all corners of this diverse community.

We will be sharing preliminary findings of our regional survey and discussing how to provide more outdoor cultural programming as a safe COVID-19 strategy.
On June 22nd from 4:00-5:30 pm ET, join the MAPC Public Health and Arts & Culture departments as we unveil new artworks created by nine artists and artist teams that aim to spread the word about COVID-related public health advice. The artworks are available for public use by health agencies, municipalities, community groups, and the general public. MAPC’s Accelerating Climate Resiliency Series presents a panel of experts from across the United States who will speak about the challenges and opportunities of climate resilience coalitions.

Melrose, Malden, and Medford worked with the MAPC to collaboratively develop sustainable and resilient building design guidelines for residential and mixed-use developments and retrofits. These voluntary guidelines will help these communities encourage developers to build more more affordable housing that is energy-efficient and climate-resilient.
Join us for an interactive webinar on April 26 at 12:00 p.m. to learn about the guidelines and hear from the communities about how they plan to use them to shape green, affordable development.
The Accelerating Climate Resilience 2023 Speaker Series continues on September 7th from 12-1pm.
